PROJECT 6A
THE DANGAUAN
PROJECT 6B
For my model, I had use the 2.8mm modelling board to build the wall and the furnitures. The plastic covers was used to represent the glass window and the panoramic window. For the trees that planted besides the bach was using satay sticks to represent it. Satay sticks was cut to separate it becomes branches and painted by white acrylic paint. All the boards were stick by UHU glues because this glue won't spoil my model and increase the tidyness of my model.
I prefer my model looks clean and tidy so I had chose monochrome as my theme of model. My whole model is in white and with the contour of the site as a decorate.
My design concept is new modern-nature. The building looks modern and 2 trees were planted between the open decking to create the natural shadow. This building is full of window at every side for good ventilation, good lighting and also have a best sea view in the room.
The design concept is as the named of the bach- "Moana Visum". Moana Visum refers to the meaning of sea view in Hawaiian.
THE DANGAUAN
THESE ARE MY PRESENTATION BOARDS FOR PROJECT 6A- THE DANGAUAN.
In Project 6A, we were required to design a bach/hut at the proposed site. In the requirements of thorough planning (site analysis and synthesis), architectural, and interior drawings (sketches, design statement, developed final design, perspectives); and a simple drawings of the technicalities, and building services detailing (selection of materials and construction methods chosen). We were having a site visit at Teluk Tempoyak, Batu Maung, Pulau Pinang.
In the presentation boards, site analysis and synthesis were presented in first board as above. Bubble diagram, form and process, design strategies and design concept were presented in second board. In the third board, front, right, left and rear elevations were showed and coloured as well as the shadow were showed clearly in the drawing. For the technical drawings and sectional drawing as well as details drawing were drawn on the forth board.
THE DANGAUAN - MODEL
I
Due to the reasons, the proposed design must consider the direct sunshine, porous sand for land, rough sea, strong winds, and a splashy wet condition of the selected site, i.e. on the Teluk Batek beach. The maximum size of the Dangau should not be more than 15 metre square. The maximum height of the Dangau should not be more than 5 metres from the ‘ground level’ (GL) to the top most roof’s ridge. The material for the super structure (main structure) is concrete plus the use of wood-plastic-composite (wpc) materials available locally. The Dangau should be able to comfortably accommodate two people at a time, but will also comfortable to receive another two person for lunch/dinner invitation.
